Scott and Jennie Phillips moved to Asia in 2003 and have been working to plant tribal churches in the jungles of the Dao tribe since 2005. Through the grace of God they have seen many of the Dao people place their faith in Jesus Christ. They are continually working to see the entirety of the Bible translated into the Dao language and are now serving alongside the Dao people to see the Gospel taken even deeper into the jungles of Asia.

Our Sending Church

Our sending church is the church that I (Jennie) have been going to since I was a little girl. Scott's family has always worked for Word of Life traveling and speaking on their behalf; therefore, he became familiar with our church shortly before we got married (2001) and has had the opportunity to be very involved with our sending church over the past few years. He as had many opportunities there for preaching and being a part of the churches outreaches and activities whenever we are there. We praise God for the body of believers at this church that are standing behind us in thier prayers and finances!

Our sending church, Bible Baptist Church, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a relatively small group of believers that have been able to accomplish many great things for the Lord. Their pastor is my Grandpa, Don Stokes. As a corporate body and as many individuals, Bible Baptist Church has helped us with everything from fixing our car, to building trailers for us, to financing our school bill. Praise God for a body of Christ who truly meets pressing needs!!
